Healthy Eating Policy

Policy

Cuan Bhríde Childcare Centre believes that good health and good food in the early years helps to safeguard children’s well-being throughout their lives. It is important that children develop healthy eating habits from a young age for both the pleasure of having a wide variety in their diets and gaining knowledge about nutrition. Meal times are treated as an opportunity for social interaction as well as laying the foundations about making healthy choices.

Procedure

  1. Drinking water will be available at all times.

  2. Full fat milk will be available with all meals and snack times.

  3. Fizzy drinks and fruit squash will not be provided.
